This means it added more displacement to the 225 as the 225 added to the 212 Tillotson, Predator, and other Clone Engines of similar size. Or if you compare it to the 212(211.67cc) Engines, this kit will make 28.55cc or a little more than 12% added displacement.
This kit is specific for the Tillotson 225R/RS 72mm bore block. While it could fit other clones or Hondas that fit the Tillotson 72mm piston, we do not offer support for those combinations. If you need a Tillotson 72mm block, we highly recommend getting our 240RX U-Build-It Kit, which comes as an unassembled short block with gaskets, bearings, and hardware to complete the bottom end.
The new kit includes our EC-forged piston, which is stronger than the Tillotson hypereutectic. It also has coated skirts to reduce friction and wear. The compression height is also shorter than in the previous combination, allowing a longer rod. Customers have confirmed improved performance over the original 236R kits.
*Note that engines with 58mm or 59 crankshafts, including the Wildcat 223, Predator 224, Wildcat 240 or any of the EC Stroker Kits, may require clearance for the compression release to pass the crankshaft weights if you can use a cam ground on a 224 core which has a compression mechanism that can clear the 58mm and 59mm crankshaft.
