This combo replaces the heavier cast flat top piston and rod with an EC Forged rod and lightweight hypereutectic piston used in the Tillotson 225 thru 236cc engines. This is a drop in kit that will give you a perfect deck height piston in the new Wildcat 240 (3rd pic)
The piston uses the latest technology and design utilizing a racing slipper skirt vs. the conventional barrel skirt design of the stock piston. This piston uses an aluminum alloy with high silicone for a lower thermal expansion coefficient, allowing tighter tolerance for superior performance and longevity over the stock Chinese cast pistons used in this engine and other kits. The low slipper skirt design also allows more clearance in the rotating assembly for stroker crankshafts. The compression height is also shorter due to the pins location and a smaller, lighter wrist pin is used. These improvements allow the use of the longer rod while reducing weight.
